Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Neumatics and the SoulMap application, both operated by Fotis Dovas, sole proprietor, Greece.
Plain-English drafting. These terms are drafted by the operator in plain English and are reviewed periodically. For any specific contractual question, email lotus@neumatics.eu.
1. Acceptable use
You may use the service for personal, lawful, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Use the service to attempt to identify, deanonymise, or re-identify any other user.
- Submit content that is illegal, harassing, infringing, or that contains malware.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the psychometric pipeline or any underlying model in a way that violates these terms or any applicable law.
- Use the service in a way that imposes a disproportionate load on our infrastructure (rate limits apply on a per-account basis).
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older to create an account. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
3. Your content
When you submit a response inside an Echo, you grant Neumatics a worldwide, royalty-free licence to process that response for the purposes described in our privacy policy — scoring and profile inference.
You own your profile. You can export it, port it, or delete it at any time. We do not claim copyright in your raw responses.
Inclusion of consented contributions in aggregated research datasets is a planned feature (see Section 4) and does not occur today.
4. Planned features (not yet in effect)
The features described in this section are designed but not currently offered. None of the clauses below operates today: no associated processing takes place, no datasets are licensed or sold, no wallets are created, and no payment of any kind is made or owed. If and when any of these features activates, we will notify account holders, update these terms and the privacy policy, and request fresh consent where the law requires it. Until then, this section is informational only and has no contractual effect.
- Data ownership and royalties (planned). The design: if a buyer licensed an aggregate dataset that included your consented contribution, a royalty would be settled in XRP to a non-custodial wallet address you create inside the app, weighted by your data-quality score and the consented demographic linkage, with a platform service fee on top. We would never hold your private keys, and we do not issue tokens of our own. The full mechanic is described at /about/data-ethics.
- Psychometric inference API (planned). Access would be governed by a separate API Agreement signed at onboarding, with these invariants: a no-train guarantee (API request data never trains shared models), EU region pinning at the highest tier, plan-based rate limits and SLA, and no use for high-risk EU AI Act applications (hiring, clinical, educational assessment) without prior written consent. The API is not currently offered, and no API Agreement can presently be entered into.
5. Service availability
We provide the service on an "as available" basis. We will use reasonable efforts to maintain uptime, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if continued operation would create undue risk. You may terminate your account at any time, and the deletion cascades described in our privacy policy apply.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) €100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded under applicable EU consumer law.
8. Disputes
These terms are governed by Greek law. Disputes will be heard in the courts of Athens, Greece, subject to any mandatory EU consumer-protection forum rights you may have as a consumer in another EU member state.
9. Updates
We may revise these terms from time to time. We will post material changes here and notify account holders via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
