SoulMap · a Neumatics product

Sixty seconds a day. A map of who you are, over time.

SoulMap is a live self-discovery app. Each day you step into a short narrative Echo; your choices are read against ten research-grade psychometric instruments, and your personal map sharpens with every session.

  • EU AI Act
  • GDPR by design
  • Live
  • 200+ Echoes logged

Human truth, measured properly.

Forced-choice play built on the frameworks psychology has studied longest — Big Five, HEXACO, attachment, values — reads how you think, decide and feel in ways a questionnaire can't.

Privacy by design.

Consent on every datapoint, GDPR deletion cascades, and a strict no-train guarantee keep you protected — always.

AI-crafted. Science-scored.

Every Echo is generated fresh for you, then scored deterministically from the choices you actually made — play on the surface, measurement underneath.

How it works

From play to a personal map.

  1. 01

    Play

A 60-second daily Echo — an AI-generated narrative micro-experience — reveals authentic behaviour through play.

  2. 02

    Measure

Forced-choice responses are scored against ten validated psychometric instruments, with reliability metadata on every reading.

  3. 03

    Protect

Consent-first, EU-native infrastructure protects your data at every layer — auditable, withdrawable, deletable.

  4. 04

    Reflect

Your map updates with every Echo — trait readings, patterns, and change over time, explained in plain language.

What you get

A daily practice, not a quiz.

01

A daily Echo

A fresh, AI-crafted narrative micro-experience every day. Sixty seconds, choices under gentle pressure, no right answers — and an immediate, interpretable reading at the end.

Your SoulMap

Twenty-nine trait dimensions across seven construct families, each with plain-language meaning, direction of change, and honest uncertainty.

Published receipts

The instruments, the calibration loop, and the validation programme are documented in the open — read them before you trust a single reading.

There is a bigger design underneath — a reliability-first inference engine built to one day power research tools and consented data products. Those surfaces ship only after the engine completes its validation programme. SoulMap is the product, today.

Why SoulMap exists

Situation
Most personality tools hand you a one-off quiz and a static label.
Complication
One-off self-report is noisy and easy to game — and it cannot see change, context, or contradiction.
Action
We built SoulMap: a 60-second daily self-discovery game whose choices are scored against research-grade psychometric instruments, session after session.
Resolution
The result is a living map of how you decide, relate, and change — honest about its confidence, with the methodology published in full.

The engine

Every day, you spend sixty seconds inside an AI-generated narrative. Your forced-choice responses are scored against ten of the most-studied psychological instruments in the world, and your feedback is immediate and interpretable. Underneath sits a calibrated inference engine that treats every choice as a measurement — which is what makes the readings worth having.

Founder & Product Architect

MSc Products & Systems Design Engineering (University of the Aegean, 2019). Three full product rewrites in eight months — the current stack (Next.js, Firebase, Python Cloud Run, Gemini, WebGL2) designed, built, and operated solo.

Scientific review

Construct validity is reviewed at every major iteration by a licensed clinical psychologist — MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis, MMPI-2 certified, twenty years in private practice.

Trust & compliance

  • Limited-risk under EU AI Act. Hiring, clinical, and educational-assessment use cases are explicitly gated. Consumer surface is 18+ only; minors are excluded from trait-scoring distributions.
  • No-train guarantee — your data never trains shared or third-party AI models.
  • Per-subject deletion (GDPR DSAR) cascades across every store and trace.
  • Data stored in EU regions; all psychometric scoring runs inside the EU.
  • Security perimeter (VPC service controls) and encryption at rest across every store.
  • Quarterly methodology releases with human sign-off.

FAQ

What is SoulMap, in one sentence?
A live self-discovery app: one 60-second narrative Echo a day, scored against research-grade psychometric instruments, gradually building a personal map of how you decide, relate, and change.
Is it free?
Yes. Three Echoes a day, your map, and your trait readings are free. Sign up with email or Google and you are inside within a minute.
How is this not just another personality app?
Underneath the game sits a psychometric pipeline — Big Five, HEXACO, attachment, Schwartz values, emotional intelligence, moral foundations — that scores the choices you actually made, deterministically, with an honest uncertainty statement on every reading. Readings say plainly which traits have cleared our calibration bar and which are still experimental. The methodology is published; see /about/science.
Why EU-native?
Because the strictest privacy regime in the world is a feature, not a burden. Your data is stored in EU regions, and every psychometric computation — scoring, aggregation, your profile — runs inside the EU. One scoped exception: the story text of your sessions is generated by Gemini models on Google Cloud's global endpoint, under GDPR safeguards (standard contractual clauses; Google Cloud does not train on customer data). Deletion is one click and total.
What about the EU AI Act?
Neumatics is a limited-risk system by classification. Clinical, hiring, and educational-assessment uses are explicitly gated. The product is restricted to adults by its terms and excludes high-stakes decisions. Full posture is at /about/data-ethics.
Can my data be used to train AI models?
No — not unless you explicitly opt in. A separate, withdrawable consent toggle exists for contributing to aggregate research statistics; it is off by default, and "no" is a perfectly good answer. Full reasoning at /about/data-ethics.
Why a 60-second daily session?
Short enough that people come back voluntarily; long enough to produce a calibrated longitudinal trace. The session length is the unlock for both the habit and the measurement quality.
Where can I see the methodology?
/about/science is the hub — sub-pages cover data layers, persona generation, the calibration loop, validation receipts, and the citations roster.
